Bryan's Story
Bryan Wewers is a lifelong Idahoan whose leadership, generosity, and dedication to children and our community have made a lasting impact on St. Luke’s Children’s and the Treasure Valley. A native of Twin Falls and a 1984 graduate of Boise State University, he has always remained deeply connected to Idaho and its people. During his 35-year career with Idaho Power, Bryan served in Community Relations and Business and Community Development, helping connect businesses, nonprofits, and local leaders while guiding charitable support across the region.
Bryan’s relationship with St. Luke’s Children’s spans over two decades. He joined the Children’s Advisory Board in 2006 and served for 18 years, including as Board Chair from 2017 to 2018. Throughout his tenure, Bryan was known for his hands-on leadership, his ability to bring people together, and his deep commitment to the mission. His efforts helped grow support for St. Luke’s Children’s through meaningful partnerships, generous giving, and sustained community engagement that continues to benefit children and families today.
Beyond St. Luke’s, Bryan’s commitment to service reaches throughout the community. He is a charter member and past president of the Boise Centennial Rotary Club, serves on the Boise State Alumni Association board, and chairs the BSU Alumni Scholarship Committee. Even in retirement, he remains deeply involved, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, building Little Free Libraries for his Rotary Club, and continuing to support St. Luke’s Children’s as a legacy society member.
Family remains at the heart of everything Bryan does, just as caring for children and strengthening his community have been at the heart of his life’s work. Bryan and his wife Bridgette have been married for more than 40 years and are proud parents to Joe and Ally, and grandparents to Cole and Jake. Whether spending time at their Featherville cabin, exploring Idaho’s outdoors, or traveling together, Bryan and Bridgette cherish every moment with the people they love most.
